I will settle for nothing less than a -9, -9, -9 win. And at least 20 attempts by Butler. And to clear the bench…. And I mean everybody plays, Heinrich starts the 3rd sets as libero, SKT starts the 3rd as setter, Jhenna takes over Peterson’s DS role.. and actually SKT and Iosia will run a 5-2 together! Am I taking it too far yet or y’all want me to keep going? don’t stop there! Jerritt to the locker room and Coach Khat Bell takes over the huddle. |

Micaya White to host serving clinics once a month. I’m on board with this. |

I can fully admit I’m being extra cranky the last week or so. And I can fully admit my patience is wearing thin and I want to be where we were during the tournament now, even though I understand it’s a process. And I fully admit that I’m prone to overreacting about things like Butler not being set as much as she should. But I don’t want this to end up being one of those ‘we didn’t see our limitations until it was too Late because we kept beating teams we should be beating’ kind of seasons. That’s where I am as a fan.

On the contrary, I enjoyed the match, and most Texas matches I get to watch, win or lose. I actually enjoyed having no clue what was going to happen in any given rotation, quite frankly. And I enjoy engaging with all of you. Sports are meant to evoke all kinds of emotions, and I’ll readily admit after I’ve come down from whatever emotion I’m in after a given match if it was totally extra, like I did above. Seasons aren’t linear, and I’m always here for the Texas journey. Thanks for asking. |

Service pressure? Yes please. TCU did better later but they built sizable leads with the pressure.
Passing broke down late, which is my biggest concern. I expect a few early shanks but to tighten it up. Setting was meh, passing had a bunch to do with it. Butler with virtually no touches through 2 sets was frustrating but passing had a lot to do with it.
Skylar, Logan and Parra all playing 6 rotations at the same time in the third was something Longhorn fans didn’t think would ever happen. That was worth a tighter than expected set.
Parra with a back row attack.
All in all closer than I wanted but a sweep 21-20-19 where no set was really in doubt late where you hit .333 to .080 is solid.
Eckerman got a huge applause at the introductions which was good.
