Theoretically, this matchup should favor Stanford.
1. They are at home. 2. Stanford's size at the pins will make it easier to avoid the block and in turn block Utah's attack. 3. Utah's back row isn't at the same level as Oregon's.
With that said, there is theory and then there is practice.

Stanford should win this one but they will take it to 5 because of stretches where the team just inexplicably breaks down.

This one is a toss up for me. Both teams have strong offensive strengths. I agree that Utah's defense isn't quite as strong as Oregon's, and Stanford still nearly beat them, so I'll give the edge to Stanford in 4.
