Keys to the match after watching both teams:
NCSU: Spread the offense from pin to pin Pass well enough to run a full offense.
Questions: Can NCSU serve receive hold up as UNC is serving tougher the past few games?
UNC: Serve tough to limit NCSU to the left, set block Spread the offense, middles involved
Questions: Can UNC's block continue getting better and contain the NCSU hot offense?

I hope this is a great match. History is not on NC State's side. I don't know if the Wolfpack has won in Chapel Hill... ever. If they have, it's was before 1999 when they started keeping records on the website. NC State will need to serve very aggressively to win this match and that has not been a strength. Even in system Pack gets blocked a lot so they will need to find a way to incorporate their middles to help hold the UNC block. Last weekend there was barely any subbing outside of the 6-2. They spelled Parchment briefly and sometimes sub in a server for one of the middle's (Shaak).

IN 2018 when UNC finished 4-13 in conference UNC still beat NCSU at home. UNC has struggled blocking this year....they went from top 3 in the ACC to now 10th...but they have gotten better the past 2 weekend with our starting middles back. UNC is also serving a lot tougher. Parchment loves to hit in the meat of the block and she cannot do that against UNC. Rowand also doesnt get up as high due to her injuries. IF NCSU is going to win, it has to be through their RS. UNC of course has done better about not just using their lefts. I think that UNC has to serve tough to win to slow the offense that NCSU has showed the past 4 games and NCSU has to make UNC limit their offense as well. UNC also is top 3 in the ACC in not getting Aced. This looks to be a battle of offense on the NCSU side and UNC being strong defensively.

NC State can still make the tournament, particularly if they win this game. It’s a stretch for sure, but they’re within striking distance at #60 in the RPI now.

But you're not allowed to say it out loud! It would be a very tough thing to pull off but their schedule its set up for a run, a win tomorrow it would go a long way. I don't think it's being too dramatic but this could be the most important week in the program in a long time. 1. From an RPI standpoint obviously 2. Confidence level would go through the roof for the Wolfpack. 3. Recruiting - This new staff has yet to land any big fish and a program defining win and run to the tourney would go a long way and the future of any program will rely on recruiting. Gold Medals are great but most PSAs just want a chance to get in to the dance first. Must Win @unc 10/20 DUKE 10/24 - The triangle teams always play each other tough but thankfully this is a Home match @ Clemson 10/29 One of the ND Match Home on 11/7 or @ ND 11/12 @uva 11/20 Clemson 11/27 Probable Losses GA TECH 10/31 vs LOU 11/5 one of the ND matches Swing match vs CUSE 11/24 That is tough to ask but nobody said getting to the tourney should be easy. But I think 18 wins will do it. If the Pack losses tomorrow it will be very difficult but they have to do the above and then must beat Syracuse and need help for the bottom have of the league to even out a bit. Probably need help... a surprise win by UVA and/or VT over Duke, FSU or UNC. Duke beating UNC would be helpful. Hoping ACC gets 7 teams in

ANd of course having Wurl back for the past week certainly hasn't hurt
