Lukes launched her serve into the student section. It's now 22-14 BYU

That old guy talking to the opponent servers has annoyed me for years.

Yeah...Tough place to be a visiting player and serve where they can reach out and touch you.

BYU 25-17 in the first set, but USD started getting things together late in the set. Emily Wilson after a few mis-steps is playing well.
Wilson leads San Diego with 5 kills, hitting .500
Gabby Goddard is back in the middle for Schraeder.

BYU hitting .444 against the third best blocking team in the country is just…. insane.

BYU has too many threats. Between Koerber, Livingston, Ballard Nixon, Eschenberg and Bower...Blackwell is stuck completely guessing where to go. BYU is also completely shutting down Frohling...she's hitting -.062 with only 3 kills on 16 swings. BYU's serving also seems to be causing a lot more problems for San Diego than San Diego's is for BYU.

BYU passing well 😃😃 Alowed Bower to be an offensive threat and to run a balanced offense with a strong dose of Koerber. This is my favorite version of BYU.

Really impressed with BYU’ passing. Those are words that have never crossed my lips.
Kenzie Koerber-wow.
That Wilson girl is gonna be good for SD.

That BYU has so many threats that can terminate consistently each match, it makes it very difficult for any blocker to know consistently where to go. Though BYU passed well overall tonight, Bower has consistently shown that she can better the ball which really allows the hitters to all be as effective as possible. I also thought BYU served particularly tough tonight and created a lot of issues for San Diego. Very excited for the rest of season, and to watch the rematch between these teams.

One bright spot for USD is that they were able to slow down the BYU middle’s quite a bit who normally terminate at a much higher efficiency. Pretty crazy that BYU was able to hit over .370 despot both middles hitting below .300
