Minnesota is 59-16 all-time against the Indiana Hoosiers, dating back to 1975. Last Matchup, Oct. 17,2021, Gophers swept the Hoosiers

This is a trap match for the Gophers with Nebraska on Saturday. Indiana has also been playing better. Wouldn't be shocked to see Indiana take a set but Minnesota has too much firepower to take a "bad" loss here.

middle, meddle, muddle MIDDLE MIDDLE MIDDLE how about we go for 2 legitimate back slide kills one gap set to Rubright and one kill by either MB to the 10' line!
please remove Landfair and replace with Miyabe maybe we can then be surprised.

Hmm. Another way one might put this: We have played two home matches in the last 7 days. Traveled 0.0 miles. Will someone please come watch this team? Signed, Looking for Love in Bloomington

Updated with links to the previews, which, by the way, contain history as well.

Taylor Landfair with a volleyball in her hands in Bloomington, Indiana. Hope springs eternal. She will be a fantastic player for years here. This is Miyabe's time. Don't steal it away from her just because Landfair had some number next to her name coming in. If/when Miyabe struggles, absolutely bring Landfair in off the bench.

Don't steal it away from her just because Landfair had some number next to her name coming in. If/when Miyabe struggles, absolutely bring Landfair in off the bench. I think most people just want her to be available—not necessarily to “steal” Miyabe’s spot. If Miyabe OR Wenaas is having a bad match, it would be nice to have Landfair ready to take off the warm up jacket. The match at Northwestern when Wenaas struggled comes to mind. Landfair and Wenaas were the starters and in the first two sets (that we lost), Miyabe was used in the double sub, so Glenn was the only option to relieve Wenaas, which happened briefly in set 2. Hugh pulled the plug and started Miyabe and Landfair set 3. Wenaas was DS for Landfair, Kilkelly for Miyabe. I’m choosing to believe we shouldn’t need that depth at Indiana, but who knows. As has been noted, would be nice to have more options vs Nebraska.

I don't know if these announcers are the same as for the Ohio State match, but both seem to think that Shea Rubright is in there mostly for her "offensive firepower." Who's missing something, me or them?

Who's missing something, me or them? I saw someone say this on here too. Rubright is definitely the weakest offensive middle we have, she’s there to block. Husemann is better offensively IMO, though Rubright has been better lately.

Who's missing something, me or them? I suppose that was some of the speculation in the MN thread; that Shea provides more offensive firepower compared to Ellie. I'm inclined to agree, but it's like comparing two squirt guns to see which would be better at putting out a house fire. Edit: and see, even the poster above me disagrees. Neither of them are lighting the world on fire. I do really want to be friends with Shea based on her TikTok.

Not sure why Indiana sticks with their commit blocks on the middles when Minnesota’s middles never score.
