Has Rettke ever had the 5th most kills on her team before?

lol I think Texas has the Big12 held down…understandably so.. TX fans trounced Iowa State after losing the first set and they were like “Wow our team is so good.” Girl, Iowa (1-11, 3-17) swept Iowa State. Like stop. Your conference is awful. I can’t wait for them to be in the SEC, it can only be a good thing for volleyball. Most of this is nonsense. Texas is an objectively GREAT team.

If you told me we'd get through the Ohio St-Penn St-Nebraska-Purdue stretch 3-1 I'd probably have been pretty happy, but I wish we'd played better. Props to Purdue, gritty defensive win, but Wisconsin looked so out of it at times.

Has Rettke ever had the 5th most kills on her team before? Right, if I were to tell you 4 Badgers have 10 kills, how much would you bet Dana was one of them?!

Congrats Purdue. Badger really fought so i gove them credit for that. Badgers will regroup and have a few games in which they can do that. We will crush Purdue at the Field H0use

How can there be too much parity??? this is the best the big ten has been in years I disagree. The big ten is the weakest at the top it’s been in forever. Just take last night Nebraska Minnesota match for example. This match was better play at least. I’ll be doing some serious thinking about my poll and I think I’m gonna start giving more love to the pac instead of just pushing them further and further into the teens when they lose and keeping big ten teams ranked highly on name alone Hmm. Watching the PAC, players can’t cover a hitter, can’t dig hard shots, and seem confused when the rally goes longer than 2-3 shots. Don’t get me wrong, the PAC has good teams that can and will push B1G teams, but the eye test just shows the top B1G teams playing at a higher level to me.

The point of the post is that they don’t get to show it being in the B12.

Quality play by Purdue. Cleveland was impressive.
Barnes was fantastic. I wish she would have told the rest of the team the match started at 11 central time.

I also think teams like Florida, Baylor, and some of the pac teams that we all punished harshly earlier in the season are playing at a higher level then most of the big ten top teams right now

Great, gutty win for Purdue. They are exactly the kind of team that can give Wisconsin trouble (smaller, but much quicker and more athletic, with great court coverage and team defense). Purdue's dialed in blocking (on Orzol in particular) was really significant.
Overall, this was the greatest weekend of quality collegiate volleyball other than the national playoffs I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot of volleyball). Thank you, Illinois, Minnesota, and Purdue AND your very worthy opponents, Penn State, Nebraska, and Wisconsin for the truly great volleyball.

But, who can be sure. It’ll be a fun postseason.

Well, I feel a lot better about the Badgers now than after set 2, understandably. I’m not overly concerned about this loss. Well played, Purdue. Ok with a couple losses if it leads to working towards specific improvements. Would like to see Hilley’s placements on sets to the pins improve. When she puts sets to the pins in good spots, her hitters get kills. When she leaves the sets short, they struggle with the block. Would also like to see the middles more effective in front of the setter.

I don't think Purdue is more athletic than the Badgers. I see a little more grit on their end, and Badger block is really not up to par.
