Serious ? A thankless job, give me a break! Volleyball reffing is generally thankless. The qualifications to ref at D1 are high, the pay is crap, and you have to listen to everyone yelling at you all game (and sometimes after the game) Yea there’s literally a shortage in CA and a lot of other states. Many are just over it. |

Many are just over it. Yup. This is a trend that has been going on for a long time now. So while these older refs can be frustrating, I gotta give them credit for continuing on. |

Many are just over it. Yeah, parents, just pipe down, so the feeder system from club/high school to the NCAA continues! If your kids' teams play well, they should be in position to win regardless of any calls! |

Thanks for posting the match. Any guesses why UCD pulled their starting middle after the first set? The announcers seemed puzzled, too. Hawaii was on fire and would have swept anyway, but the 2nd set may have been less of a s*^t show for Davis. |
