I'm sure it's been posted somewhere but how serious is Landfair's injury? Or is she injured? Back injury. She continues to be limited in practice. She came in just for blocking at the net late in matches during the Oregon/Stanford B1G/PAC12 trip. She gradually progressed to playing more and then had a relapse (against Northwestern? can't remember).

I'm fully expecting the Huskers to win. Not sure if I'll wear Maroon and Gold or Red to this match. Nebraska vs Minnesota is always my least favorite match of the year. I just hope for a close match, not a sweep.

This is a critical match for the Huskers. The wheels of this train are veering off the track right now and another loss could result in a derailment. A win would realign the wheels to the track just before some more dangerous curves show up ahead. The Huskers and Gophers have split the last 10 matches and it seems split the last 6 with Stephanie Samedy wearing the maroon and gold. After having four 5 set matches in 5 years between these two teams, only one of the last 6 has gone 5. I think this one will. Huskers have won four of the five that went 5.

In addition, they weren’t shy about their disappointment in their play. I think they are far from derailment, even if they would lose tomorrow.

I agree, it's only a derailment if RED loses to a Minny, Purdue, Ohio St, Wisky over the next few weeks on the road. Oh, and they have the Kitties at home too. Ok, maybe not all of them, but four out of five. Now, if you the original poster is concerned about Nebraska ending up in Wisky's regional and not making to the FF, then based upon the last four sweeps, yeah, he/she should be concerned.

After Penn State, it took forever to get out of the ramp. I’m guessing tomorrow will be the same.

But she is injured. The idea it's something else is preposterous.

Btw, I am AMAZED Wisconsin swept this team at Lincoln. How good is Wisconsin to do that because Nebraska is terrific?
Gophers will have their hands full. Huskers have THREE elite liberos who all play. Good luck.

That's why I used the word COULD. Momentum is a strange thing - in a set, in a match and in a season. I think momentum could be like surfing. You wanna grab the big wave and keep going. Recapturing is can be a very slippery slope. I think long time Husker fans have to acknowledge that in the back of their mind they worry about the disease that has hit the football program could be contagious. We go into every volleyball season with high hopes of winning the Natty. Football now goes into each season hoping to make a bowl game. I shudder to think of a volleyball team that is struggling just to get an invitation to the tourney.

Nebraska has a terrific team and will only get better. This season and in the next several.
Way too much testosterone in the coaching staff, but it's a great team.
