The play-by-play announcer is very good...managing to keep up a fast, running description of each touch on the ball, and which player. That's all you really need. The second guy just waits for the first guy to finish, and then re-phrases what the first guy says, interspersed with a bunch of clichés...

Oh I think Ducks went back to 5-1 at the end of the set. Smart move. Ducks win second set 25-22. Ducks lead by Nuneviller with 11 kills. Williams seems to be playing better today, getting some nice OOS kills when needed. COL lead by Tabron with 8 kills.

These announcers have no understanding of volleyball. I don't mind the first guy who actually is mentioning who is playing. He's got an auctioneer's talent for calling the plays really fast. But I need a selective mute button for the second guy, who just goes 'blah, blah, blah, these are the inane phrases they taught me to use in Sports Com 101". |
