Yeah yeah it’s warmup but even in warmups the connections are off sometimes between Myers/Shaff

MN will win
if they serve tough to limit OSU setting options AND
If our MBs do a better job of closing blocks
This assumes no loss in MNs recent upward trajectory
Both Wenaas and Miyabe need set locations conducive to swinging hard
A return to feeble tips and defensive roll shots will turn the match into a slog favoring the home team
No one has yet responded to the Q of why Londot wasn’t playing. Don’t know how they win without her.
imo Moore is an igniter in so many respects.
OSU could win, easily, if she cannot be contained

Also, Ohio St has a men's D1 program, so historically you could argue it is more of a volleyball state than Minnesota. How many of those players are from Ohio? For that matter, have they gotten players from Minn? No idea what the answer is, just curious. Does OH sponsor boys high school volleyball? Great for them, if they do. MN will get it soon enough. The OHSAA (the actual athletics association that sponsors all hs sports in the state) doesn't sponsor boys volleyball. There is a separate entity (the Ohio High School Boys Volleyball Association) that is currently handling boys volleyball. The OHSAA is still waiting for higher participation numbers from a wider range of schools, since the majority of teams are either from private catholic schools or huge public schools. Once the OHSBVA can field teams from all demographics, which should hopefully be within a few years, they can apply for OHSAA sponsorship. Ohio is a fast growing hotbed for boys volleyball, some big names just graduated and are starting their freshman campaigns now at top D1 programs so it shouldn't be too long. I played HS boys volleyball for 4 years in Ohio so unless something has changed drastically in 3 years, that should still be the current situation. EDIT: If you were asking about current roster players from Ohio at OSU, for the men's side there is Noah Platfoot (S, Hilliard Darby), Thomas Poole (L, Dublin Jerome), and Cole Young (6'10 M, Olentangy Liberty). No players from Minn now and I can't remember anyone from Minn recently. |

Regardless idk why we stopped starting Husemann. She was doing good early in the season and then we switched her up for Rubright. |

Gonna go OSU in 4. For people saying MN needs to win a ranked road match, they’ve only had what, one opportunity in the Big Ten? And that was Wisconsin. They did win @oregon, so technically that’s a road win. Only other ranked road win opportunities were @florida.. But it will definitely help their RPI a lot Not how RPI works. Beating OSU would be good for Minnesota because OSU has won a lot of matches and its opponents have won a lot of matches but road/home isn't part of RPI. |
