You can sort by various metrics. Click on the top tabs to see overall or conference-only stats. Now that we're almost halfway through the conference season, conference-only stats are a good way to compare players who have played very similar schedules. Pia Timmer is 3rd the PAC in points/set with 4.9 if you look at only conference play; Sofia Maldonado Diaz is 9th with 4.1 Magda Jehlářová is 8th in hitting percentage with .351 Pia Timmer is 3rd the PAC in kills/set with 4.29; Sofia Maldonado Diaz is 11th with 3.55
Penny Tusa is 9th in service aces/set with 0.33; Karly Basham, Emery Herman, and Kamaile Hiapo are tied for 10th with 0.31 Magda Jehlářová is 1st in blocks/set with 1.64, Zyonna Fellows is 5th with 1.20
Arizona and WSU are 6th & 4th (respectively) in kills/set Arizona and WSU are 8th & 5th for hitting % Arizona and WSU are 5th & 8th (respectively) in digs/set Arizona and WSU are 5th & 3rd (respectively) in blocks/set Arizona and WSU are 10th & 1st (respectively) in aces/set

Arizona will have confidence after a great weekend, but WSU is stronger, and even harder to beat in Pullman. WSU will win this match.

The Wildcats didn't give the Cougars much trouble in Tucson earlier this season. Last season, though, Arizona took one set in the Friday match, then swept WSU in the 2nd match on Sunday. Both matches were played in Bohler. The year before, Arizona had a terrible time with injuries (both Kamaile Hiapo and Makenna Martin--the two liberos--played OH at some point in the season) and they still split with WSU. In 2018, the two teams split, as well. I think the Wildcats have a fighting chance here, but I wouldn't bet money on either team.

I definitely think the Cougs are a tough out. However, Stubbe and Maldonado-Diaz are finding their stride. If Hodge shows up and plays likes she’s capable, there definitely can be an upset.

This is a brutal match up for Arizona. WSU's size will present problems for their pin hitters. This looks like a sweep for the Cougs.

It's been a crazy day. This match is going to be interesting. Can Arizona overcome the block of Washington State? (There's a similar question when they go to Washington on Sunday.) That's what I wrote about in this week's preview which is here.

I genuinely think arizona can win this match. The first game against WSU was some of the worst volleyball I’ve ever seen the entire team play. Arizona did more to beat Arizona than WSU did that day. If Sofia can hit above .200, Puk can play anywhere close to how she did last week, and Jaelyn can manage her errors, this is a very winnable game for the Wildcats. A lot of that comes down to the setting though as I’m pretty sure setting location was pretty off against WSU the first time.

The difference is that this game is at Pullman, and WSU plays well in their own gym. They do, but Arizona has beaten them in Pullman 2 of the last 3 years including a sweep in the second match this spring. But the Wildcats aren't playing well so far today.
