Coach Cook is pretty transparent, and says what he thinks. I can see how that might upset folks, especially when he says things they don't like, but he's usually correct in what he says--or largely so. Cook's success has lots of people just looking for reasons to dislike him. Agreed. It’s not like he just woke up this season and decided to be blunt and direct. Anyone who decides to play for him has decades of demeanor to go off and decide if that’s the kind of coach they want to play for. Clearly it’s worked in his favor up to now. |

Okay Ohio State. Y’all have one job. Just one job. Now if the OSU football team wants to do some confidence building for the "close but no cigar" Huskers, Big Red Nation will be exuberant. Well, it "close but no cigar" for the Huskers, again. Looking forward to watching the second NE - OSU contest of the day to see if the Cornhuckers can even out Saturday's contests. Buckeyes eek it out. |

Certainly some of the things he says in public are harsh--maybe uncalled for. But there's some value in the straightforward approach. My opinion.
Cook is a master strategist. If the season ends prematurely he has set up Lexi Sun to be the stooge, the fall guy, the scapegoat if you will. Airing out a star player in the press shows a mean spiritedness. LOL. ok. |

I thought she played really well last night, but I hope they don't interview her immediately after Cook on BTN again. They asked them both about her coming back in...Cook said, "...she finally..." blah blah again, and Lexi had a weird look on her face like someone who's asked about something she's not supposed to talk about...choosing her words very carefully. (Or maybe like someone who can't wait until she f&#king graduates and gets a new coach.) lol weird I watched the exact same thing but my TV didn’t show any of this. Coach Cook - "She's finally been turning up in practice ... I really like her demeanor right now." Larry asked Lexi about; "Coach Cook said you seem to be on a mission the last 2 weeks". - Lexi formulated an answer. IMO: Lexi is the most talented all-around player on the Husker Team. Don't you think that starting or not starting by 'showing up in practice' was totally in her control. |
