I feel like our DS's we have currently really need a lot of help from a very solid block. They need the ball funneled right at them. Since the block is nonexistent, it's going to be a rough road for our floor defense. I wish they were better regardless of the block, but they just aren't. Rubin will absolutely challenge for a spot. I don't know if she'll see much time in the front row, but for sure she will grab a spot in the back row. Agreed

Triple that number if You include athletes from other sports.

Good serving by Oglivie to extend Stanford's lead, and Stanford finishes the 3rd 25-19.

After 3 sets, Stan lead by Baird with 12 kills, and Vicini and Kipp with 8 each. Kipp's level really improved in the 3rd. OSU still lead by Tkachenko with 15 kills. OSU has more blocks and digs than Stanford. Digs I understand, but blocks is a confusing one.

I’m not sure what you have against Gray. All she did is deliver 3 championships. What we need right now is some leadership, something we having been lacking since Gray graduated. I have nothing against her. She’s great. It was more that Kevin was saying she was better than the other great setter he coached, which is simply untrue. This isn’t a slight against Gray. She’s likely the best setter or the most successful to every play at Stanford. Poulter, Ah-Mow, Berg or someone else? He's coached some really good setters. As you said, nothing against Gray. She's a great setter and I'm grateful she played for Stanford but to say she's better than some of the other setters he's coached was puzzling, even to many Gray and Stanford fans.
