It’s hard to have hope in this Stanford team… Should Hambly get fired? One more bad season equivalent to this one or worse and I would be worried if I was him

EMP sets the mixes in a lot of sets to the middle. Keeps our block honest. I wish Miner would mix it up more. So predictable, and lets the opposing block focus on the pins. I mean when one of your middles averages a kill per set… not exactly inspiring confidence

It’s hard to have hope in this Stanford team… yet so many teams are going to be dreading getting Stanford sent to their subergional If they get to .500

Why are most Stanford players major in Human Biology? We had this conversation in our family last month, and actually looked up the major. At Stanford, it's not exactly like a pre-med biology major, which is serious stuff. It's got some psych and sociology type classes mixed up with some biology, so it seems like a doable major for an athlete. Not sure how they all seem to get steered in that direction, though. Likely most of them don't do anything with biology after they graduate, though there have been several notables who went to med school.

I just hope this 3rd set isn't like the 3rd set the last time they played

The match feels like it's not as competitive as the set scores indicate. Not sure why. Probably because the two teams react differently to the pressure at the end of sets. UW elevates their level of play, while Stanford drops theirs.

Regardless, she needs to set the middle more for Stanford to be successful.
