A couple pieces of news regarding the Buffs:
1) In a section near the bottom of an article the main Boulder local news outlet released that mainly describes the progress made in the recently completed European trip, it was unfortunately noted that Jahara Campbell, who already missed last season with an injury, will also miss this coming season after suffering a major (ACL) injury in the scrimmage against CSU back in April. Best wishes to her having a fast and full recovery. (The article also notes she probably will be on petitioning the NCAA to obtain an extra (6th?) year of eligibility.)
Tweet from the journalist with a link to the full article -
2) When this coming season's schedule was announced, there was one unknown opponent, which at the time looked to be a 4th team that Wichita State was trying to find for a tourney the Shockers are hosting Sept. 8th-10th. It now looks like that tourney is only a 3 team tourney (with Kansas joining the Shockers and Buffs).
To replace that "lost" match, the Buffs look to have added a home match to the schedule (https://cubuffs.com/sports/womens-volleyball/schedule/2023) against the DU (Denver) Pioneers on Sept. 17th. (That's now the last match before conference play begins on the 21st.)

How are we feeling about their schedule? Looks like the Buffs added Denver to their schedule on September 17 -- just 2 days after the back-to-back with CSU.

It's too bad WSU couldn't find another quality opponent like they wanted. I know CU wanted to add another team, but Denver doesn't look to be good this year and that leaves for a potentially cruddy non-conference schedule. Hopefully some more of those teams will do well in their seasons and/or surprise us.

I think it hurts them recruiting wise however since they left the Big 12 they have had very good records against Big 12 teams. After Texas I think they can hang with most all the Big 12 teams.

Texas will be a good state to get more recruits for CU than before. Will almost be a wash in recruiting versus California. Now that the PAC-12 is dissolving a bit, the BIG 12 may be the 2nd best conference in the coming years, so Colorado Volleyball may be in good shape with this move. I agree that CU could likely be regularly in the Top 3 or 4 in the conference each year (assuming they keep the same trajectory).

Some recruits were enticed by playing in the PAC-12, but some of those same recruits may not be as interested in playing in the BIG 12, but I guess time will tell.

Adding some backrow help.
Also, Kuehl transferred to UCF.

Since Morton was the Libero for a Top 25 team at Auburn and regularly had the most digs on the team, this is a HUGE pickup for Colorado.
