Luper or Ndiaye? We were talking about Ndiaye there (I think). I wonder if UCLA busses to NorCal and AZ bc Luper played for those road trips but hasn't played in the away games since then. She also missed the WA matches that happened between the NorCal and AZ matches. The AZ trip was Oct 15-17, then there were home games, then she missed the mountains and now the Oregons. She was at the preconference matches in Indianapolis. She played @ Butler in Indiana, so I don't think it's about flying. Right. I said she played in Indianapolis in preconference. But ppl were wondering earlier in the thread if maybe she didn't like to fly so I was adding to that with info on when and where she did or didn't miss away games. If we're going to make wild ass guesses, we should have some info that narrows things down at least a bit. It is interesting that, so far in conference, she has only missed matches that are further away from LA. She could have anxieties about flying that wouldn't prevent her from flying but could make it difficult. Some surgeries limit flying but I can't think of one where she could play (very well!) but not fly. (E.g., a minor surgery that she had during the season, after Butler.) Maybe flying triggers migraines or some other problem. Maybe it's a coincidence.

It's possible she just lost her spot in the line up due to low numbers. It's been May, Luper or Jacobs, and McCall in OPP. Right. THat's what I was wondering. Is she available but lost her spot, is she unavailable? What's going on. Usually someone says something but I haven't seen it. Passing. McCall, Luper, May, Fleck, and even Jacobs can all pass in every rotation. Ndiaye has had consistency issues but it's mainly because McCall/Jacobs provide them the passing to get the ball to May or Luper or the middles. I think @bigwestfan2 mentioned it's also so they can switch around their passing rotations, allowing Fleck to always pass the middle of the court/take up more space.

Originally I didn't love the idea of McCall on the right side, but I love how she plays in the back row. Her and Luper have really elevated this team from the spring IMO (of course, along with May who is always good).

She'll be an important piece of the team in the future.

They do have great pins coming in but I still think Ndiaye has the potential to be a key piece to their offensive arsenal.

She'll be an important piece of the team in the future. I agree. I assume when May leaves that McCall might move back left (if she uses her Covid year), and Iman could resume play at Opp (at least front row). But ucla does have an abundance of pins.

The AVCA rating of UCLA is bizarre.
