Stanford is pretty far back in the standings and WSU is right behind the Huskies, but I've been rooting for the Cougs this whole match, even knowing that without Timmer they were huge underdogs.
Of course, I didn't know Miner would get hurt.
It kind of looks like it came down to Stanford having more experience playing hurt than WSU does.

Didnt look like a touch Stanford needed this win. No sign of Miner to finish it which is not a good sight. Should be interesting how they look on the mountain road trip but overall a much needed win.

Stanford without Miner beats WSU 3-1. Just too many weapons for Stanford for WSU to defend. Stanford without Miner beats WSU without Timmer. It was a very different match than I was expecting but it ended up being competitive. |

Stanford ends lead by Baird with 17 and Kipp with 14 kills. Stanford also outblocked and outdug WSU. WSU was lead by Ung, the back up for Timmer. Who'd of thought? Ung with 15 kills, and Tusa with 10. WSU middles just did not show up tonight, and that really hurt WSU.
