Campbell has always been a solid middle for Stanford and really did her job for some of those National title teams. I am sure she has really enjoyed her time with the team.

Stanford needed this win to keep them in a safe zone to get into the tourney, and they showed up to play. Will be curious to see how long Miner is out for though, as the longer she is out that can impact them against teams that bring more defense.

Stanford without Miner beats WSU without Timmer 3-1. Just to be completely transparent here. Yes, but you can't really even say that Stanford won because Timmer wasn't present. Ung, her back up, still lead WSU in kills. Maybe I should have wrote, Stanford without Miner beats WSU without Timmer and without the WSU middles helping at all, 3-1. lol

I'm confused on why Fidelak red shirted this year. Couldn't she just use her extra covid year to play in grad school? Unless she plans to play for 2 years in grad school?

My guess is that she wants to use both years for grad school. I think she wants a masters in psych, which takes 2-3 years to complete.

That was one crazy night of volleyball. I guess Tufuga is our setter for the remainder of the season. Miner never returned, even to the bench, which probably means she ended up at the Stanford Medical Center. Will we have seven left by the end of the season?

Not that anyone else was.

Do you guys think Stanford is more cautious re concussions because of how the Hodson situation was handled / mishandled? Yes definitely I hope the entire NCAAs is as they should be. The whole Hodson situation should serve as a cautionary tale for all athletes and really is too bad. Hodson had all the potential to be not only a Stanford great but maybe eventually for Team USA really so disappointing. I hope she is happy and has moved on. Sharing her story I hope helped not only her but the future or all these athletes. Hodson is a cautionary tale. Great player.
