Really big Friday morning volleyball to see who has the inside track for the 4th and final spot for the Big East Tournament. Thru 11/11 12-2 Creighton 12-2 Marquette 11-3 UConn 8-6 DePaul (@xav, NOVA, GTN) 8-6 Butler (MARQ, UConn, XAV) 6-8 Villanova (PC, CU, @dep, @marq) 6-8 Xavier (MARQ, DEP, UConn, @but) Butler has the much tougher schedule remaining and since this is the only match between the two teams this season, I think DePaul would be VERY likely to get #4 if they win today. Butler will also be in the drivers seat with a win, but their path is a bit tougher than DePaul's. Butler leads 19-17 in the first set. |

I saw they and UConn were close ish

Is there any chance DePaul finishes top 50 RPI? I saw they and UConn were close ish UConn loss to Georgetown won’t help If either UConn/DePaul win the Big East Tournament they'll be Top 50 with 2 wins of Creighton/Marquette. Otherwise, not sure it's going to happen. |

DePaul won the first two but Butler survives by winning the 3rd.

Butler loses in four at home. Tough loss for them. Congrats to DePaul for the win and for likely going to the Big East tournament.

If memory serves right, and DePaul's records are accurate.... they're on pace to their first conference tournament appearance since 2003-04 C-USA tournament. |

DePaul headed to their first Big East Tournament Conference appearance with a win over Xavier (24-26, 25-21, 25-11, 25-15) to take the #4 seed.
