I have a soft spot for Crenshaw after everything she has been willing to do for this team, so I’m happy for her. I’m a little sad that Cal has fallen to the point where Cook feels like he can experiment with the lineup like it’s a preseason game against a cupcake. He did say following the Stanford match: "And credit to Claire who's not a hundred percent, showing her ability to find kills in creative ways. She showed impressive toughness." In other words, she's been gutting it out playing hurt (ab injury?), with rest more needed than merely wanted. Both she and Shannon are willing to "fall on their swords for this team" (figuratively speaking). I wouldn't be surprised if Cook rests Hoffman against Oregon State as well. |

Did anyone catch where Mirkovic went after approx the end of Set 1? She wasn't on the court and wasnt even on the bench anymore.

Did anyone catch where Mirkovic went after approx the end of Set 1? She wasn't on the court and wasnt even on the bench anymore. Can there be more than one Libero "suited up" on the sideline? I've never seen more than one. If so, then when DeSa switched into the Libero jersey, Mirkovic had to switch out? If, on the other hand, Mirkovic's injury (that prompted her switch to Libero, in the first place) had worsened, then it might have been easier for her to stay in the locker room to receive treatment for it. |
