Wow, great match. Lots of service errors on both sides, exactly as was the case when they played in Omaha. Players pushing too hard in a big match?
Mavs once again are impressive on defense, pulling out some impossible digs.
Now the Mavs are two matches up, could even lose one of their last two matches and take the title. It also sets up the Yotes to have to go through likely Denver in the semifinals to earn a rematch. Tough.
Also, get ready for the 2022 Summit League Tournament at Baxter Arena… I have a feeling that the SLT attendance records are about to be broken in consecutive years. First in Vermilion, then Omaha.
I could see a permanent “neutral site” tournament in Omaha happening…. Wouldn’t be terrible for South Dakota fans. Plenty of alumni there.
