The Masters reverse sweeps Georgetown, for its second defeat of a top 10 program in a week. To give Georgetown their credit, they came out swinging in the first 2 sets. Just couldn't close things out...

Happy to eat my words here. Master's stuck with it and comes up with the win. Diego Perez has a huge night (26K, .391, 4 SA).

A crazy ending. Georgetown appeared to have blocked a ball in play with an initial call of out. Officials start discussing the call but after Masters fans ran to the court they just opted to leave. The Georgetown coach was not happy. A great match either way. GTown seemed to just run out of steam; always hard to travel across the country and compete - credit them for making the effort.

You still have the second half of your prediction tonight against Vanguard. Good that Georgetown is playing VU first tonight and then Hope. It will be nice to see them fully rested for the tougher of the two opponents.

With the Park tournament today and tomorrow, among others, we have a great weekend of volleyball ahead! This includes three huge intersectional matches today that have both seeding and at-large implications. #12 Ottawa (AZ) vs. #8 Missouri Valley, 2 p.m. Central time. Here is the live stats link: ouazspirit.com/sidearmstats/mvball/summary#12 Ottawa (AZ) vs. #4 Park, 6 p.m. Central time. Here is the video link: www.heartconferencenetwork.com/park/#10 Georgetown vs. #3 Vanguard, 4 p.m. Pacific time (as noted in previous posts). Here is the video link: www.vanguardlions.com/watch

Here is the video link: www.vanguardlions.com/watchThis is big for Ottawa-AZ, who were the first team out at last year's tournament. If they can grab even one win, that will greatly help their chances. With the GSAC loaded this year, it is likely they will be searching for another at-large.

Well, words officially eaten. Vanguard handled their business and takes care of Georgetown pretty quickly. Vanguard's serving was the difference, as they weren't great offensively tonight.

A rough result to this West Coast swing for Georgetown. Props for the effort and I know it’s a challenge to fight jet lag, digest In and Out burgers, and compete with good teams but it seemed they were up To the challenge. I think they’re a strong team, but not top-ten at this point.
OUAZ, however, did get their signature win. No clue how good MoVal is but at this point, it’s their best win in two years. Two in one day is rough and after that battle, they started hot with Park, but couldn’t quite finish the job.
Indiana Tech swept Cornerstone and is still unbeaten yet somewhat untested - compared to the group above.
This could be an interesting poll week.

Georgetown trailing 1-2 to Hope International right now, could be another rough day for Georgetown

Quite the two weeks we’ve had since the last poll. I’m seriously interested in where the voters place William Penn. You could justifiably put them as high as 2 but really no lower than 9-10. Assuming you don’t put Park above them, I’m having a hard time finding enough teams in the top 5 without them. Menlo and Grand View are definite at this point, but beyond that it’s a crapshoot.
This is how I’d vote - not necessarily how I see it turning out:
1) Grand View 2) Menlo 3) Vanguard 4) Indiana Tech 5) William Penn 6) Park 7) BenMesa 8) Lourdes 9) OUAZ 10) MoBap

THE Master's is undefeated in Naia play and beat 4 ranked teams. Why would they not be top 10? Speaking of players with Cystic Fibrosis, one of their key players has it also.

Not a dumb question - whether you were being sarcastic or not. I’d expect them to be ranked this time around. I only count three ranked wins and aside from BenMesa on a rough weekend the other two are fringe. The Cal Lutheran loss is bad but I definitely think they’re top 15 potentially top ten. Good news for Masters fans, they don’t give me a poll vote.
