Gacking up the lead at 13-10 versus Creighton is really big for USC now. It was a weird match to watch.

Oh, yeah, just saw that Brown match. Was that on the initial schedule? No, it was just added a few days ago.

Brown is also getting a great tournament warmup match, and has players on their squad who are from California and will probably get to play in front of friends and family, so I think this is win/win/win for them.

Has USC gotten that much better?
Has UA fallen off a cliff?
How does this happen?
USC wins -14 -15 -11.
No wonder only 390 fans showed up.

The limited crowd size is sad; but the score is a little alarming. In a conference that some suggest is pretty strong top to "near-bottom" you wouldn't expect to see one team lose by scoring not more than 15 points in any set.

I like this "can we make it to .500" intrigue of USC's situation. Question - if USC goes 3-1, not 4-0, and finishes 15-15 - beats Brown, and beats some 2 of 3 out of Stanford-ASU-UCLA, but also loses to one of those schools - will RPI be good enough for a bid? Obviously, it's no guarantee that they even go 3-1, but just for discussion. All matches at home probably helps.
