San Diego was up by four points, but Saint Mary's is back within 1, 15-16 in the 1st set.

Tied at 18. San Diego calls TO. Seems very similar to set one.

Saint Mary's called another TO down 21-24. They got two straight points, including an ace that landed right on the back line. San Diego still up 24-23, but calls TO.

San Diego seems to have figured things out against Saint Mary's. They lead 17-7 in the 3rd set, looking to go up 2-1 on the Gaels.

San Diego wins a close set four, 25-22, with an Emily Wilson kill off the block and down on Saint Mary's side. USD 3-1. They had a very shaky start to set four, and it looked like the might have to go five. Great recovery.
Stats show they hit .350 (70/13/163) and held Saint Mary's to .270 (48/11/137)

San Diego wins in 4 with a kill from freshman Emily Wilson. Definitely see her becoming a solid player for San Diego in the future.
Frohling with a career high 28 kills. Benbow with a career high 31 digs. The middles actually combined for more than 10 kills (14 kills and no errors today!). Madill did a great job coming off the bench with 37 assists and 10 digs.
If all of the seniors return for Saint Marys, they could be a solid team next year. I thought they looked pretty good at the beginning of the season, but I think they struggled with some injuries in the middle of their season.

Just when you think you've seen the last of Madill because she hasn't played for several matches, here she comes again. Will they go back to Tercariol, as they always have before, or will they give Madill another chance?
On another note, both teams had 62 digs, but USD had 17 more assists (62) than SMC (45).
And to be snarky, I wonder if 28 kills in one match from Frohling will be good enough for WCC OPOW.
