Congrats Michigan! For icing on the cake, the party of the decade in Ann Arbor will kick off around 4p ET tomorrow if the Wolverines manage to win in the Big House. Make it happen Blue.

I wonder if the sub-Scottee-out-for-Murray-blocking thing will persist into the tourney (🤞🏻) or if that was just for Illinois But it didn’t really work? We barely got a block up in that rotation and I don’t think we ever scored.

I wasn’t a fan of this strategy either. I have been tough on Murray as a back row player all season, but she has stepped up with some excellent passing when we needed it. Beals wasn’t it for me tonight on defense and I didn’t think the Murray block added anything (and sometimes detracted).

Good. Illinois wasn't going to host, and they and Michigan are tournament teams no one wants to host and could work their way into or move up in the final poll as a result.

Michigan has a scary reputation for success over the years in the tourney. My opinion is that they will match up well with other teams that are highly rated in every position except at middle blocker. It is interesting for me as an Illinois fan and long time Champaign resident that Michigan has Illini great and Michigan native Ali Bastianelli (known in Huff Gym by the nickname "Kid Block") as a volunteer coach. UM also has a freshman middle blocker on the team who starred at Champaign Central High School, (whip smart Mira Chopra).
I don't often say this about a Michigan sport team, but I really hope the maize and blue go far in the tourney. (This wish excludes a tourney match-up with the Illini, of course!)
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE! Happy Thanksgiving back at you notpriddy (COIF)! Ali Bastianelli has been a huge asset to the coaching staff for Blue. We've seen her influence in the improvement from both of our starting middles, especially Jacque Boney. I'm not sure if she has any coaching aspirations after her career is over but she seems like a natural on the bench. And I hope we get to play against each other again in the tourney, that would mean we both have advanced far!

Sweet thing about today's Wolverine manhandling of $OSU is The Game will mean something again next year and the year after that and the year after that. Wish I were in Ann Arbor tonight.
