This has become the most important match for both teams NCAA ambitions, particularly Michigan, which probably does not go without winning. I hope Michigan is in the NCAAs win or lose. What stands out to me looking at UM's schedule is their 5 set matches with Minnesota in which they won one. Even if UM loses to Illinois their final match is home vs. Northwestern. And a loss to Illinois and a win vs. Northwestern would give them a 10-10 record in the B1G. With the parity at the top of the conference this season a 500 B1G record should be part of the tourney. |
