Indiana is not the same team they were a few weeks ago. This match should be interesting. Purdue's block and back court can't get lax, but also need to save some energy for Nebraska.
Hopefully the service game continues to be fast and ruthless. Slowly getting back to where we were in 2019 from behind the line.

All the Seniors + Super seniors stepped up where needed:
Johnson - 6 kills (.400), 9 blocks
Bush - 45 assists, 3 blocks, 10 digs, .315 team hitting percentage
Cleveland - 18-0-32 (.562), 5 blocks
Newton - 17 kills (.245), 10 digs, 4 blocks
Otec - 16 digs
Hornung - 0 digs but this is one of those cases where the stats sheet doesn't tell the entire story. She pulled up at least 3 HUGE saves (flying all over the court, one arm stabs) that kept Purdue in the game and made a lot of great secondary sets for some good kills.

Have to say that I am impressed by the IU libero. She was a beast and saved IU a lot. I wonder what year she is and how many more years will Purdue have to face her lol.
Very happy for Purdue and cannot wait for tomorrow.

Have to say that I am impressed by the IU libero. She was a beast and saved IU a lot. I wonder what year she is and how many more years will Purdue have to face her lol. Very happy for Purdue and cannot wait for tomorrow. Cerame is a junior. She has one more year unless she takes the COVID bonus year. She transferred from Florida where she was really great but kept being flip flopped with another player for the libero jersey. Obviously she wanted that spot. Another fun fact: her older sister was a standout OH for Texas and part of the reason they made it to the NCAA Championship in 2015/2016. She started at Penn State before transferring for more/better playing time too! |
