CU might fall apart. A little defeating for CU not to take that 3rd set they were leading in. missed opportunity for sure

Huskies got a little over-excited there and played the ball on the Colorado side of the net.

welp, I'm glad they got a competitive match before playing WSU. It's going to be even harder on Saturday...

Nice job UW. Good playing overall by Colorado against a great team!
Too bad Colorado couldn't win more sets/matches where they were way up this season. They would likely be closer to .500 on the season if they just finished the sets/matches that they should have. The underclassmen and underexperienced pins will hopefully learn from this experience.
Wish Ewert would have set the middles more -- should have been more balls to them since the hit over .400 and .667 respectively. She likes to spread the offense a little TOO much -- instead of giving the ball to your hot hitters when you can.

U-Dub just won 3-1 which means I will not have to use the word "dumbfounded" to convey my amazement that they lost. For about 15 or 20 minutes in the 3rd set, it looked like CU was going to be up 2-1, but down 23-19, the Huskies went on a run and pulled out the set. And, I think that was the turning point of the match.

Multiple set points (multiple match points on Oregon), and they still lose them. Still not a bad showing this season after the 3rd best hitter in the PAC left, and her replacement Frosh hitter has been playing on a bad ankle all season.

CU played a tough middle of that match. It would have been easy to fold after that first set, but they came back and made UW step up to beat them.

Whew, the end of that third set . . . the Huskies do manage to stave off bad endings better than most teams, that's for sure. Very resilient.
Lots of things to clean up, but a win is a win, especially in Boulder. Nice to be heading into the season finale with a chance to win/share the title, and hopefully grab a seed (probably #15 or #16). I expect the Huskies to be psychologically ready on Saturday.
Claire still looks a little rusty but I'm glad she got a lot of swings today. Drechsel came back to earth but is still such a difference-maker. And Bush solidified her starting role with probably her best effort of the season, with only two errors.

Nice to see Bays steady out towards the end, she will be phenomenal for UW and could be the leading pac 12 libero in the coming years

And Bush solidified her starting role with probably her best effort of the season, with only two errors. I take it as a good sign that Claire's best set was the last one. She looked much more comfortable and was mixing her shots, including the hard ones. Bush provided what Cook was looking for and justified his decision to stay with her at OH2 (she does hit high hands realllly well).
