welp, I'm glad they got a competitive match before playing WSU. It's going to be even harder on Saturday... UW plays like this Saturday...they will get rolled I am afraid.

UW played well overall. Sure there were some hiccups, but they hit over .300 against a good defense. Colorado just played well and aggressive (instead of scared and "playing not to lose" that lost too many matches). Too bad it was at the end of the season for CU. I would wager that CU would beat WSU in that match, so UW should be fine if they play the same.

The #2 - Jersey Shore's Favorite, with Provolone, ham and cappacuolo is greaaaat.
But Jersey Mike's should ask for a refund from the PAC12 Network.
I'm not sure if this was just a replay of the video feed at the arena, but the number of missed serves in this "broadcast" was off the charts. And not just serves. Sometimes the serve-receive. Several times an entire point.
All missed so they could run an insignificant replay with a Jersey Mike's logo on the front AND the back of the replay, taking up more time.
Jersey Mike's - you're not only not making me like you more with your logo overriding live play, you're actually making me never want your subs again. Not your fault, but I thought you should know.

Claire still looks a little rusty but I'm glad she got a lot of swings today. Drechsel came back to earth but is still such a difference-maker. And Bush solidified her starting role with probably her best effort of the season, with only two errors. I take it as a good sign that Claire's best set was the last one. She looked much more comfortable and was mixing her shots, including the hard ones. Bush provided what Cook was looking for and justified his decision to stay with her at OH2 (she does hit high hands realllly well). Claire Hoffman. Always there when you need her. We are a resolute team, and Hoffman and Powell are our leaders in this regard.

It's CU's broadcast. The broadcast is very good with good video/camera quality, coverage, and pretty decent announcing compared to a lot of other PAC feeds, but Colorado tries to do too many replays when they should just let it go sometimes when it's obvious there is a quick serve about to happen. Maybe they feel they have to do a replay most times because of that damn Jersey Mike's sponsorship. At least the camera coverage is good during points. So many PAC schools have a cameramen that are moving back and forth unreliably (often with over movement) and you can't tell where the ball is/went. You don't see that with the Colorado broadcast.

Our Defense and Block need to come to every party...today, I did not see much of either. Don't get me wrong...I want UW to beat Wa St....but if they come with this effort...it could get ugly.

Sorry, but this is just wrong....and Colorado DOES deserve the credit. Colorado hit at a high efficiency with some aggressive swings that they haven't done before consistently in most PAC matches. High-hand kills from CU are hard to defend on the UW deflection, and CU got a lot of those (so did UW). I watched CU all season...and Colorado hit much differently with different angles/high hands and different placements on the net -- different than UW probably prepared for...so yes, CU deserves the credit. If CU had a better record (like they should have if they played like today), I bet you wouldn't be saying this.

Good win by Wash. Colorado loses another heart-breaking set that they should have won!
Still impressed with how well Colorado played. Best I have seen them play in several weeks.

I'm agreeing with VBFella on this one. CU played much better than they have and gave Wash a true test. Colorado's young OH's swung out of system more efficiently than they have all season (although still not the best overall numbers), and the CU block did very well with lots of stuffs and soft blocks. Colorado also served pretty aggressively. Middles did very well for Colorado, and the set placement for those middle kills was hard for Wash to defend. I was also impressed with the composure of both teams during crucial moments. I think Wash is set up well for the tourney.

I think everyone on this CU team has a chance to comeback next year if they choose to. That is promising. If we lose Ewart, Deluzio and Hart to graduation we might struggle next year. Excited for Parker to comeback also.

Excited for Parker to comeback also. Ewert is not coming back. DeLuzio and Hart are coming back. This has been confirmed. Ewert's sets have been too inconsistent with what the hitters want (too much pace and too low OR too much off the net on the right side), so I am not too upset that Simpson and/or DeLuzio can take over the reigns on that. Simpson's placement has been great overall from what I have seen. With DeLuzio, Hart, and Parker coming back ...and probably at least a wash on the setter position, and Campbell having time to finally not play on a bum ankle all season and do better on efficiency, Colorado should be a better team overall in 2022.

BTW, I still think Ewert is great overall, but I do think her replacement should be a wash. I just think her floor defense is not great. Blocking is good and dumps are great, but the overall set placement has left too many tips for Colorado this season. Setter should adjust to what the hitters want -- not the other way around.

A win is a win...survive and advance. For all that want to give the credit to Colorado...we can agree to disagree. I think getting out of Colorado with a W is a great thing. My point is that UW will needs to be better to beat a Wa St. team that has had their number recently and is hungry to ruin their season in a rivalry match. The #12 team in the country played too close to a team that is playing just above .500 on the season. I am happy for the win but nervous about Saturday....I think being at home is a big deal....hope the Dawg Pack shows up and is ready to rumble.
