USC hits .323 at home and loses in straights 😐 Yeah, SC hitting .323 and Stanford with zero blocks! Also, Francis hit negative! I doubt anyone could claim that Stanford's defense was solid. SC is just a mess, passing non-existent, setting all over the place, and a ton of slop at the net. I would not use this match as a gauge of how well either team stacks up with the BIG. Here's another amusing stat: Stanford had only 9 hitting errors, and SC only 12. |

I just checked the stats.
Card hits .417 as a team, yet Francis hits -.105???
No Card has more than one hitting error...except Francis who has 6?
I don't need to say anything; I'm sure everyone is thinking the same thing.
Kipp ultra impressive, ZERO errors on 35 swings, 22 kills in 3 sets, hitting .629. Wow.
Stanford with zero blocks is an anomaly. In my decades of watching Card VB, I don't think
I've ever seen that.
Our middles with 6 kills each; Vicini hitting .750, and Campbell .556. Good stuff.
A lot of people here seem to be dogging on Tuaniga. I didn't see the match, so I can't really say.
But if you set your team to .323, it usually means you did a pretty decent job.

It has to be a frustrating season for USC fans. There are a lot of pieces there, but it has rarely entirely clicked. Still, they have one shot left. Serve tough, stay in system, make Mac the Magnificent be inefficient on a ton of swings, make the tournament, deny their rivals a league title potentially. Very fkn annoying. Like 42,000 top 15 recruits and they’re most likely not finishing .500, after adding Brown. Gross. Maybe they shouldn't have allowed a crook to fire Mick Haley. Just sayin'. |
