Davis up 1-0, 25-23
see if LB can keep up their play, coming off a tumultuous month, and then motivated play thru senior night against Irvine last week, could see a match played the day before Turkey day, on the road at Davis, 2:00 pm, will see if they can get 'up' again. maybe revenge factor, as the Riverside loss, then being the swept at home against Davis was the final straw that resulted in the end of Joy's tenure.

Beach 25-20 in the 2nd.
Beach playing well, aside from not being able to handle Davis Opp, #3 left-handed serve. Hoff just simply cannot read that serve. Have to figure that out.

Beach now playing Long Beach volleyball, putting pressure on.
Kash serving lasers. 25-15, one more set to go. great to see.

& Beach closes it out 25-21, Davis SEs doom any chance of Davis coming back in the 4th.
other than Utterback and her wicked serve, this was all LB, once they cut down on the service errors the 1st set.
if LB can keep these girls, get the same fundamental coaching and focus that's occuring, and add an athletic MB to replace Canez, they could be top 25 material next year,
we shall see.
great team, and great coaching by Hernandez to instill focus in this group for a great November streak

thx! that's what happens when it's been depressing sloppy volleyball for 4+ years, and you can get excited about LB volleyball again.

Long Beach is now just a win over UC Riverside away from finishing .500 in conference and above .500 overall. Nice recovery after the coaching change.

Anyone who questioned the coaching change at the time, probably shouldn't/won't any longer.

LBSU looking to be a BWC contender next season. Lots of talent on the bench this year. Hope the players stick around for another season... it would be disappointing to lose some players and take a few steps back. But given the coaching change, I suppose some turnover is inventible.

As most people probably know, I follow Hawai'i as my second favorite team. NIU is third. Still, I want to see the Beach good, even if I want the Wahine to win the league. I think the Beach then being good enough to get an at large bid is good for the sport, even though they will inevitably get a hard draw.

Plus, if Poly, UCSB, or any other Big West team is able to add a third bid, even better, but they will still get a tough draw.
