Maryland is a tough place to play, just ask Wisconsin.
I’ll bet it was tough for the Gophers to get up for this one after the emotional win at Penn State last night. Add to that Maryland with nothing to lose, and playing on senior night is a recipe for disaster. Good for the Gophers for gutting it out, even when they weren’t playing their best.
Shout out to CC, too — she was spectacular today.

Add to that Maryland with nothing to lose. . . . And nothing to gain either. OSU just handled Maryland easily. C'mon. Let's not sugarcoat it. That was a disturbing performance from the Gophers. 15 blocks, aced 9 times . . . Maryland's problem is that it just doesn't have the offensive firepower--lucky for the Gophers. |

Shout out to CC, too — she was spectacular today. Assuming they chartered a plane for a 3-leg trip, rather than driving from PSU to UMary, and so guessing they stayed the night in PA, flew to Mary in the morning for the match. But still, have to get up, go to the airport, etc. Traveling takes some energy out of you. |
