Some posters act like the level of volleyball should be the only factor for these athletes when choosing a pro team. There is so much more to it than that and for some volleyball isn't even the top priority, let alone the only one.

Oh my lord people. I’m not canceling or hating on brionne. I was just excited to see what she could do in a top league because she had a lot of interest and rumors saying she would be in Italy. I’m just disappointed that it’s hard to watch her matches and we don’t get to see her against elite comp yet

It's somehow crossing the line but I get what you're saying. You saying something the league SHE CHOSE is not criticizing? Come on... It doesn't matter if they're in college or professional. Have we not learned from the Naomi Osaka's to the Matt Anderson's of the world? Anyways, I really don't know if you actually did criticize or not because we're all just hiding behind these forums. might as well take the whole forum down yall. We can’t share our opinions unless we are overwhelmingly supporting every choice they make and every action they take because Jhenna Gabriel posted something dissing VT on her Instagram Almost spot-on except when dealing with Texas fans, any criticism is too much. Can't even mention in any way unless it's the highest praise and your user name has "Texas," "Longhorn," or "JerrittRules" therein.

i for one don't think Madden's reaction was that out of line. Bri's talent and that league are not a perfect match. it's not that deep indeed!

she gave up the Italian league for this?? Bri did not give up anything. She chose to continue playing in a league that's ready for her rather than wait out the season to sign with the team of her choice. What about that is too deep for you to understand? This beat down y'all dish out to these young ladies has to stop. They are not your outlet for all your lifelong idea of what success looks like. You are living your lives, let them live theirs!!! So, this is moving to a volleyball discussion venue where the critique of players decisions and performances are forbidden? Ridiculous! The explanation for her leaving Texas before the end of her eligibility was to pursue a pro and National team career. This makes a ton of sense, in fact a lot of criticism was leveled at some “Super Seniors” with USNT aspirations for playing in the NCAA last season. Why she chose a less competitive league for her 1st pro stint instead of playing the best competition available in Italy or Turkey (where plenty of openings were available) is a perfectly valid question and topic for discussion.

was what I just said really crossing the line? I didn’t insult her as a person or player. I stand by what I said in another thread especially now that’s she’s a professional and not a college player. Athletes at this level are gonna be discussed and sometimes criticized. (Funny thing is I wasn’t even criticizing her really just this league she chose) It's somehow crossing the line but I get what you're saying. Oh my god do you all not realize how professional sports and fans work??? If LeBron were to go to a new team and fans were tweeting “ can’t believe he went there instead of here” and someone commented back “hey don’t bring him down! We need to support his decisions!” They would get absolutely flamed to pieces for being the softest person in the world. It’s the nature of professional sports and it’s never going to change. If someone thinks it was a dumb move by butler, they can say that!! It’s no different than how fans in the nfl, nba, mlb, etc talk. If you can’t handle someone criticizing a professional athletes career moves then I’m sorry to inform you, but you’ve come to the wrong place. It’s not how the world of sports works and it never will be
