Seattle Times: "A UW spokesperson told The Seattle Times on Thursday the entire Husky roster and coaching staff is fully vaccinated." This is in reference to the UW men's basketball team. If they were fully vaccinated, the UW Men's Basketball team and coaching staff, then why did 7 of them test positive for Covid? Is the UW Athletic Department putting out an untruthful statement. You're not too knowledgeable about Covid are you? Maybe they should require all Hawaii fans to pay attention to what is happening on the planet before they shoot their mouth off.

The NCAA should have the Washington Volleyball team forfeit their match with Brown, due to the outbreak of Covid within one of their Athletic teams. Not very smart University of Washington Athletic Department. You should face a penalty for not taking precautions. Why jeopardize the rest of the teams in this Sub-Regional, by playing in this Sub-Regional. A person's well-being is a lot more important then any volleyball match. Who says that they aren't being tested regularly or that the Washington volleyball team has been irresponsible with the situation surrounding Covid? "You should face a penalty for not taking precautions", but it seems that the Washington basketball team may have contracted Covid from the tournament in South Dakota last week (as three of the four teams tested positive for Covid). I'm sure that when they got news of these positive cases, there was some contact tracing done, and if none of the Washington basketball players were in contact with the Washington volleyball players, then I don't see what the problem is? If the article discussed that there was a Covid outbreak throughout multiple programs in UW athletics, then that may be a call for concern. At the moment, there may just be some slight worry, but I hope that the Washington team is fine, and unless there is a positive case confirmed on the VOLLEYBALL team, then they should not need to forfeit. These girls worked so hard to get here, and they should not be punished and forced to forfeit because of another sports team in the same school.

Good God, no wonder 7 of the UW Men's Basketball team and staff have tested positive of Covid. Like their fans, they are just to stupid to know any better. Looks like none of them know how to follow directions, not surprised they have tested positive, how many more will test positive, is what I am thinking. We are not the Men's basketball team and we are not close to them. Hawaii is nothing but a afterthought in the women's Volleyball community and this is nothing but a sad attempt at being relavent. Unless you can provide proof of positive test by the UW volleyball team I suggest you shut your mouth. You have proven nothing but nonsense. Get a !!!!###$$$!!!ing l8fe. We all know how athletes congregate, was there any contact tracing performed. Probably one of those who do not even wear a face mask. Have not gotten vaccinated, also. Wonder how the UW Athletic Department would feel if any athlete, or even staff member, on any of the other teams comes down with Covid due to playing in this Sub-Regional with UW.

As a Hawaii fan, I am sorry that you have to deal with wahinefan, and we are not all like this. I'm sure that your team will not have to forfeit like he wants Washington to, and the match against Brown will definitely happen. Best of luck to your team tomorrow, and if Hawaii could get through a very tough Mississippi State team, then I'm hoping for a good match against Washington!

Maybe you should focus on making your team better instead of insulting my team. Your team is the bottom of the barrell and that is the truth. I am sorry that you feel so threatned by us but don't make us the enemy. You did that all by yourself.

I am more concerned about the other 3 teams in this Sub-Regional. There health and well-being. Since UW seems to be taking to outbreak in their Athletic Department, so lackadaisically. Making this Sub-Regional more important then the health and well-being of the athletes.

Guessing you would feel very happy if an athlete contracted Covid from playing in this Sub-Regional, and god forbid, dead from Covid. Thinking you would be overjoyed, just so that this Sub-Regional could be played.

Wahinefan was making attacks on the UW athletic department as a whole, and I feel that it's bound to get some not so nice responses in turn. He has also attacked some of the players on our own Hawaii team, so the majority of fans on our threads have him blocked over there as well. Regardless, both of the players on these teams worked so hard to get to this point in the season, and I just want to see some good volleyball being played this weekend.

By the way, it is also in the Los Angeles Times. It is making the UW Athletic Department look pathetic and stupid, if they allow the UW Women's Volleyball team to participate in this Sub-Regional. Do you have any actual reason to believe that anyone associated with the UW Volleyball team is infected in any way? Guesses don't count.
