If they were fully vaccinated, the UW Men's Basketball team and coaching staff, then why did 7 of them test positive for Covid? Is the UW Athletic Department putting out an untruthful statement. You're not too knowledgeable about Covid are you? Maybe they should require all Hawaii fans to pay attention to what is happening on the planet before they shoot their mouth off. All Hawaii Fans? Don't lump us with wahinefan, He annoys us too. Lol. |

Rooting for a UW vs. Hawaii matchup Saturday night. Seems like it's almost a tournament ritual. It wouldn't be December in Seattle without Hawaii playing at Hec Ed! Mississippi State, however, is not going to be an easy out. (And they won't be an easy match for UW, either, if that is the Saturday night match.) Folks are correct to raise concerns about the Covid situation with reports of seven positive covid tests for UW mens basketball team. And this may end up not being just a Washington problem. Here's hoping it doesn't upend the tournament....but hoping is not of much value right now. Maybe the Wahine have a different plan but us Hawaii fans just want to win a match today. If Hawaii survives and gets Washington in the 2nd round, we all know what's coming. The damn book ends the same way all the time. |

The thing is, "UW men's basketball team has seven cases of COVID" is definitely an item of interest for this match. That team has played in this gym since they were (presumably) exposed in South Dakota.
But to jump straight to "UW women's volleyball needs to forfeit or they are risking the health of everyone involved" is ... well ... pretty damn wild.
