Big coaching tree matchup! Tamas and Skinner are both former Cook assistants. Kentucky's volunteer was also a student-manager for Tamas and the Illini up until the spring.

The Illini could have been capable of pulling off an upset in this tourney, but not against this Kentucky team. Too much and too strong right now.

Why would anyone think Illinois fans would not pick Illinois in the poll? Regardless, I hope Kentucky goes into this match thinking it is walk in the park to play the B1G 7th place team.

I mean anyone who has watched both teams recently should say Kentucky is a clear favorite. Don’t really think that’s homerish of me to say. Like I’ve also said before illinois is plenty talented and could certainly pull the upset if they play well but not sure how many people really think Illinois is going to win. Going to win vs able to win are different things. |
