What Wahine team will show up for this match is anyone's gueess. For that matter, throughout the match. This Wahine team is so Jeckyl and Hyde, it would just about drive anyone crazy. It has come to a point where Robyn just lets the players figure out when they do want to start playing, competing.

It was good to see Brooke Van Sickle back in Hec Ed again. I remember her from when she played for the Ducks.
I don't know if things have changed for her over the years, but the Van Sickle I remember from Oregon could take over a match and look like supergirl, but could also be completely ineffective. It was kind of hard to predict what you would get with her.
Anyway, this looks like it should be an entertaining match, with teams that have rather different looks and styles of play.

Brooke has been super consistent this year. She was more inconsistent in 2019, but playing a season of beach last year seemed to really help her overall game. I do feel like she plays better in bigger games so we'll see.

I know staying in system is always a key to winning in volleyball, but it is going to be extremely important for Hawai'i to do so if they want to have a chance to win. I am a big BVS fan, but I don't think she can carry them through if the Wahine can't get the ball to the middles. The Huskies have better options out of system, and I am still traumatized by the 2019 matches against Wisconsin. Plus, a good senior setter versus a good freshman setter.

I agree with all of this

I hope the ‘Bows have some left in the tank after their 5 setter. Washington breezed through 3 sets to defeat Brown.

Washington lives out of system. While they still want to be in system (who doesn't?), their ability to score out of system has been their biggest strength this year (spring and fall).

The Bows took down a #13 Ranked Washington in 2019 with a different team. But I think they could give Washington a good battle and potentially the upset.

UH fought hard against MSU, but were very up and down. WA will exploit that, and keep coming at you with weapons all over. UH has to serve strong to have a chance, and BVS needs to take over. WA will likely be too strong, though I hope it's a battle.

Yes, Hawai'i is the underdog in this match, in just about every way.

State, and I had to laugh.

This will probably be the best team the Wahine have faced all season. It’s always difficult to play in Washington and history hasn’t been kind to them. It will be a monumental task to upend the hosts on their home court. I just hope it’s a good battle and not a sweep like Brown.
Go Bows 🤙🌈

WA will likely be too strong, though I hope it's a battle. BVS doesn't 'take over'. Not that kind of player. She fills the gaps and complements everyone else's game, and they all play better as a result. Watch the last point video of tonight's match. Skyler gets blocked, and BVS is there in a diving roll for the perfect cover and up to Lang, who then makes the perfect back set to Leoniak, who then hits over a huge split in the block.
BVS can score, but what makes her so valuable to Hawaii is how much better everyone else plays when she's on the court.
