Not to start the seeding wars again but who did the PAC-12 champs piss off to get the 15 seed? they didn’t schedule well at all in the non con. I get the whole metrics, earned seed vs guess who you think is better, and am not arguing it. It’s just unfortunate for them because if I ranked my best to last they would be in the top 12 seeds and probably avoided a top 4 seed in the sweep 16.

There should be some sorta common sense eye test criteria. Or maybe a regional selection process similar to what the AVCA all region teams are selected by. It seams fitting that a team coming off a fall final four appearance just months before in which they defeated the current 1 and 3 seeds should be a top 10 seed. They definitely are a better team than last spring, and yet are not being rewarded for it.

A final four team this spring, returning everyone except for the one and only Maria Bogomolova 2. Beat the current 1 and 3 seeds this spring 3. Pac12 champ 4. Many agree that this Washington team is better than the Washington team this spring based on "eye test" counters: 1. RPI has them at 15 2. terrible scheduling pre-con 3. UW was swept by UCLA convincingly just a month ago. 4. Even though UW beat Louisville and Pitts this spring, Louisville and Pitts are both improved version compared to this spring. I understand why they are at #15, and am not super annoyed by it.

I understand why they are at #15, and am not super annoyed by it. I'm not annoyed by it, I think a better word is disappointed by it. I'm disappointed the probability of a quality and my favorite team playing through another weekend has been diminished. A team that is performing on all cylinders when it counts.

Washington better not ruin this for me. Another volleydate planned for Saturday if Texas wins. Same guy as before. I’m manifesting a Texas win and a spring wedding.

I mean, if they want to win a NC, playing Texas is somewhat inevitable. Why not do it now? lol yes, it will suck if this final four caliber team loses in sweet 16, but it will feel extra amazing if they knock down #2 seed. High risk high reward

Edit: He wore green last time, and he said he’d wear burnt orange next time, but in the interest of consistency, I think I’ll make him invest in either red or whatever the Illinois orange is...we shall see.

Is it me or does it seem a little crazy to think that these two teams have never met in the tournament? since the early 2000's both of these teams always make the tournament. Making the final four has been easier for Texas than Washington so I can see not meeting there, and if both teams are seeded (which usually happens) meeting in a sub regional is next to impossible, but it's kind of insane to think that they have never even been PLACED in the same regional bracket in at least the last 20 years?

Color me still annoyed about the UW bracket. Sure, I'm ok with them playing Texas....you've got to beat the best if you want a title. And I'm listing Texas as the best, or pretty close to it. But I'll die on the hill of insisting that conference standings (in a mostly balanced conference) should take precedent over seeding. Washington won the conference by 1 full game over UCLA. The two teams met twice and split...winning on each others courts. And every one yammers on about OOC. Well, out of conference, UW played AT Ohio State, AT Illinois and AT Pepperdine Their only loss was OSU. UCLA played Georgia Tech in Long Beach and played at San Diego. They lost to San Diego. So why wasn't UW seeded above UCLA? Oh, some "experts" eye test, or the nitty-gritty or some other horsesh-t that makes not a lick of sense. Hey, I still think UCLA could be the surprise of the tournament - especially if Luper is 100% - they could win it all. But seeding UCLA above UW - and more importantly putting UW at 15th seed was a sham. And, like any good VT poster, I insist that you don't bother rebutting any of this, because I'm not listening.

Washington fans are lucky Montana state didn’t finish off that 5th set or UW wouldn’t even have a seed lol. Schedule better in the non con and win some big matches
