It’s looking pretty simple to me, Washington just looks sharper in their skills and execution. It’s their brand of volleyball and what they’ve been pushing since they won in ‘05. Texas isn’t out of it yet. The power and athleticism they have can become overwhelming in the blink of an eye, especially if Washington backs off.  Actually I may have underscored that. I wasn’t expecting a 25-9 set! 😂 Either way, so impressive |

I was at work tonight, but I think I watched that match earlier in the season. Texas defense not good. Texas loses first two sets. Texas wins close third set. Texas then seems to get mad and blows out last two sets. Can they repeat how the next match went that weekend this weekend? Please?

Serve, Receive, Set
Serve: In sets 1 & 2 the most disappointing aspect. They served tentative, constant lollipops to the libero is not going to get it done. UW in system with their size is hard to block.
Receive: The Texas passing continues, sets 1 and 2 were what we were hoping wouldn’t happen. Out of system against a big block is a bad look. Sets 3-5 we seemed to tighten up. I’m sure someone with stats will contradict me but my eyes watching live did not see it as much of an issue from 3-5.
Set: Jhenna was ok 1-2 but out of system just did not help and the offense was running way too slow to counter the UW size. Feel like the speed of sets picked up and Jhenna has really dealing in 3-5. The speed and athleticism of Texas really caused problems for the UW defense in 3-5.
