There is a historical animosity between college sports in Arkansas and the University of Texas. Back when Arkansas were in the Southwest conference, many gas stations would refuse to sell gas for cars with Texas plates who were driving back from Arkansas home football games in Little Rock or Fayetteville. And since you don't know about this rivalry, they would switch the college football games (representing the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville) between Fayetteville and Little Rock (to give those folks in Little Rock a chance to host).
Added: And it doesn't matter that this player was born after Arkansas left their rivalry with Texas, they're taught to hate Texas
The primary reason for playing in Little Rock years ago was that it had a bigger stadium. The school stadium in Fayettenam was just under 40K while Memorial Stadium in Little Rock was 50K.

Do we know which side of the gym the teams will be playing on? I guess due to Covid they are not switching sides any more, so if you are a fan of one team or the other it's best to be on their side I suppose. Texas has been playing on the west side as far as I can recall, I wonder if that will continue?

I presume that they will have four sections allocated for the four teams (as required by the NCAA) and will try to place them, as best they can, on the sides where the teams will be playing. But for example at the UW matches this past weekend, the Hawaii section was on the same end as the UW section, so when Hawaii advanced that left the Hawaii fan section on the opposite side of the court from where the Hawaii team was playing on the second night. In fact, the UW cheer squad was set up right in front of the Hawaii seating, and that led to some good-natured interactions.

Texas has a lot of experience with the rules for 4 team seating for the NCAAs. The section for Sacred Heart and Rice team (who were getting changed) so it was empty
After they showered and got dressed (they looked unhappy, like they just wanted to get back to the hotel). Sorry, very far focus
And then even space in case the team brings a pep band. I've seen Rice and Texas A&M and no one else.
Note the Rice band had a cello, an acordian, and a snare drum

Yes those are normally UT student/band sections but the students/band get moved further toward the other end line. That actually helps visiting teams as you don’t have students in your face quiet so much as it usually is for a regular season match.

I'm sure some was the score, but I'm also fairly confident that there were a lot more Hawaii supporters among the UW fans than there were Mississippi State supporters. We see Hawaii so often in December -- it's almost like they are family.

Ashley Shook also made the trip with UW. I noticed she’s been on the husky sidelines during matches at times on a laptop other times I seen her be in charge of other things like UW senior night stuff.
She’s in Butlers stories right now lol
