If both teams play as well as they can play, burnt orange heads to Columbus. Here's to hoping the burnt orange doesn't play as well as they can play and the scarlet and cream do...

As much as I dislike Texas, I love to watch them play even if I believe that Texas-style volleyball is ruining the sport. I liken this to watching MMA. BTW, as with MMA, I'm not likely to watch much of this match. Wth??? How is it ruining the sport?? What is the style of play?

The mental side of the game is going to be huge today. Forget the final four and the rivalry. For Nebraska, you’re trying to upset a giant on their home court, and avoid a third straight regional final exit. For Texas, you’re trying NOT to fall into the same early hole from Thursday, and get back to National Semifinals again.
Both teams dealing with different types of pressure, which could make for an ugly first set on both sides.

Excited for the match. Nebraska hasn't faced Texas in Austin since early September 2015. Who could forget Ebony Nwanebu's performance as she introduced herself to Longhorn fans in her first match at Texas after transferring from USC? Too bad she wouldn't get to play again that season due to injury. Despite the 3-2 loss, Nebraska learned a lot, made lineup changes as a result of that loss, and later beat Texas in Omaha for the national championship; talk about going full circle in a season. Really not sure what to expect tonight as there is so much on the line for both programs. IMO, whichever team serves the toughest and receives serve the best will most likely win. Sounds simple, right?

If both teams play to their 2021 potential this will not be close. Texas will win. Nebraska Freshman are not there yet. But chances of both teams playing to their 2021 potential are not great. If the Huskers play the whole match the way they did in the first set against Wisconsin - Texas will be in trouble. I don't think we can sustain that level of play. I think the key will be the blocking. If the Huskers can stuff in double digits, we have a chance.

Probably also got mad when side out scoring was replaced by rally scoring.

Nebraska should run a 6-2 with Evans tonight just for the hell of it. Otherwise TX is going to tee off over Hames all night. I mean I know Cook won’t, but why not? Not confident about hanging with TX tonight with Hames up front and her setting in general. Hope I’m wrong.
