If both teams play to their 2021 potential this will not be close. Texas will win. Nebraska Freshman are not there yet.
But chances of both teams playing to their 2021 potential are not great.

He walked right past me before matches on Thursday. I’ll see if I can catch him or Salima before tipoff. I ran into him during men’s bathroom line craziness one time. I’ll mention it to him if that happens tonight, and credit nellynel. (Though I think Logan reminds me more of Tim Duncan, Honey Badger is a better viral name.) |

Why is the likelihood not great? Two reasons: 1. Texas' play against U-Dub was hardly awe-inspiring 2. What do we know about Nebraska? So far, they've played three cupcakes. We lack good data. No, it wasn't their fault that the Illini came in wounded, but they might fold a cheap suit when they play a team with tall blockers and high flying terminators. OTOH, they might dust Texas with great passing, D, and in-system attacks. |

As much as I dislike Texas, I love to watch them play even if I believe that Texas-style volleyball is ruining the sport. I liken this to watching MMA. BTW, as with MMA, I'm not likely to watch much of this match.

I truly do not expect to win this game. So that’s kind of nice going into it. All I want is a hard fought game. Good setting, smart and powerful hitting and solid defense. We do that and I will be happy with whatever outcome (I’m repeating that to myself all day). Literally me lmao. My anxiety over this game is already through the roof. I don’t need to get my hopes up yet lmao. |
