The star player on my daughter's high school team throws the ball like that all the time. Every game other teams are complaining about those throws and I thinking "those are totally legal volleyball shots. Stop complaining." Then I watch Eggleston and am screaming "That's an illegal throw!".
And yet I'm right in both instances.

Stop. You've never interacted with John Cook. He's a great dude. All you potzers trying to assassinate the character of a man you've never met are just embarrassing yourselves. This. Read his book—gives great insight into the true character of the man. Well someone’s own book wouldnt exactly be a good barometer for how good of a person someone is. My experience is that , he’s a terrific person who cares about his family and players a great deal. I find it amusing what perceptions people have of coaches. How they come off or present themselves doesn’t always align.

Wow, if she were an African-American player on Texas, people might question her class. exactly but all the Nebraska fans would never acknowledge this As a Nebraska fan, I agree with this

And to those saying, "you didn't call them earlier, it's unfair to call it at a crucial point in the match," that's like saying someone broke into your house three times, why'd you call the cops the fourth time. Except someone breaking into your house isn't a judgement call. The line between a throw and a legal play is. So on it makes sense that if the officiating crew has determined in their judgement that a particular play is legal, they shouldn't change that judgment 3/4 of the way through the game.

I hate to say this, but the Husker women (volleyball and basketball (and bowling)) are upholding the honor of Husker sports. Why do you hate to say it? I’m loving it!

Please, someone post the Texas post match press conference. Been searching for it for 12 hours 🙃
I saw it early this morning on the Texas Volleyball website but can't find it now. The latest one on there now is from after the Washington game. Hmm

In the spring, Texas broke games 3 and 4 open with great serving. Game 2, Nebraska served better and blew them out. Our coaches put a major emphasis on fixing the receive weakness and serving better. Having watched the Kansas 5 setter, Baylor's win, and the Washington match, if Texas didn't get runs off of their serve and the opponent could get the ball to the ground, they were very beatable. So satisfying to see this team play like most of us thought they could.

Nah that ref ruined that for Texas! That was a horrible call that killed all the momentum Yeah that ONE call made you lose 3 sets and the match, definitely

Is there a place I can find the video for the whole Texas Nebraska match? The NCAA Championships youtube channel will probably post it within the next day or 2, they've posted all of the previous matches so far

Not to mention their fans constantly deny their OBVIOUS attitude that stands out as obnoxious and rude af night and day compared to almost every other team. Obviously this doesn’t apply to the whole team, but definitely a good majority. How would you know? Do you know them personally? Fair.

Texas passed an absolutely embarrassing 1.46 for the match. Nebraska didn’t pass that much better though at a 1.82. Jesus Christ Texas recruit a libero Wait,I can read again! They both passed that low? Was it an all around bad game for everyone? Or did one or two player drag down both teams? Nebraska had a wide range. Freshmen hit 500 and 406. Stivrins and Caffey hit above the team average of 1.82. Kubik with 49 attempts brought down the team average with her .041. No hard feelings against Madi.
