Anyone catch the Austin regional awards? Didn’t really see it, but there’s a great video online of the giant “ticket to Columbus”) rolling up the baggage chute to their plane. Sweet.

Wait,I can read again! They both passed that low? Was it an all around bad game for everyone? Or did one or two player drag down both teams? Nebraska had a wide range. Freshmen hit 500 and 406. Stivrins and Caffey hit above the team average of 1.82. Kubik with 49 attempts brought down the team average with her .041. No hard feelings against Madi. They're discussing serve receive passing, not attacking.

How would you know? Do you know them personally? Fair. lol I’ve only been on this board for a few months. The one constant I’ve seen is a small handful of arrogant NU fans that think their the only ones entitled to be arrogant fans. God forbid someone out side the Midwest plays volleyball. Most are not. I do don’t mind a little jabbing, as long as it’s not personal too much with each other or players. Unless their is a coach or player hiding behind a user ID everyone is some kind of hack supporting their team, giving their opinion ribbing each other a bit (Madden correcting everyone’s stats) Texas fans don’t seem to be any different other than the school they support. I don’t mind taking a little come up em’s. Texas had the best home court advantage and couldn’t pass enough to win or avoid untimely service errors. Credit Nebraska. Texas had bragging rights last year with a 3-1 win in Omaha. But the arrogant Texas chant by a few is very old and speaks more about you thank any Texas fan.

Top 3 recruiting classes year after year yet Texas continues to under perform to its optimal potential. Wow. Jarrett Elliott what gives? Making it to the regional final is not a terrible season.

Congratulations to Nebraska for walking into a very hot environment and dismantling my Longhorns. The defense was spectacular, Hames is an all time warrior, Rodriguez is incredible, Stivrins is inspirational, and the freshmen were impressive. I hope everyone enjoyed their time in Austin and Gregory. I am glad Sun got a respectful reception when she was introduced. I found the Nebraska fans to be fun and nice. Anyway pretty intense match last night, I thought Texas played overall very poorly and frankly had no business winning even one set. Defense continues to be a problem and you might get away with that sometimes but when a well trained and well coached and highly talented team really brings it then watch out. What a classy post, thank you. We were awed by how loud Gregory was—your fan base really shows up. We sat row four section 143, and the view was outstanding. Had a great time, and not just due to the Husker W.

Has there been a press conference posted anywhere for Texas? I saw Nebraska’s but I’m interested to see what the Texas players have to say about the match

This, just all of this. Wait'll we get our Hames on you!
And the joust going down the stretch? I heart Nicklin.
Think of Hames as the best DS who ever played as a setter and you won't be far wrong. Carpenter has something to say about that. Lol. JK

Never ceases to amaze that many think Texas excels in recruiting when it recruits well for only half a team - hitters only. Recruiting class rankings are seriously flawed. You need players who can pass the ball Texas fans don’t seem to understand this and will defend the coach no matter what. Like how many more years until they demand more of the decisions the coaches make instead of trying to come after posters who a literally handing them the damn answer. Incredible talent isn’t working with the current coaching staff.

This. Read his book—gives great insight into the true character of the man. Well someone’s own book wouldnt exactly be a good barometer for how good of a person someone is. My experience is that , he’s a terrific person who cares about his family and players a great deal. I find it amusing what perceptions people have of coaches. How they come off or present themselves doesn’t always align. Have you read the book? Sure, it could be biased—but lots of what he describes having done and his approach to the process seem pretty factual. I suppose he could be lying, but seriously doubt it.

Ok now that I’m less hyped and I got my mind back from last night lmfao, I have a few good things to say about Texas. I appreciated watching Eggleston and Fields all season, and they were still able to take some really hard swings and find some kills last night despite being put in terrible situations time and time again. Logan shows a lot of poise and I could tell she was really trying to fight for her team and rally them together. Anyways it was a super fun game to watch and I’m still shook we pulled out the upset in the way we did.

I have read it and it’s an accurate reflection of who he is. I’m just saying someone’s own book isn’t always a great accounting of their character.

I've been told that Urban Meyer's book makes him look like a great human, too.
