The beauty of the Nebraska beatdown on texas is that it shows you once again that posters like horns1 know nothing about college volleyball my goodness horns1 is living rent-free in your mind! lol I might just need to have a restraining order issued against Gladys Kravitz like Lexi did. That's a thing for internet stalkers, right?

Eggleston was a real warrior. Loved the fact she was sporting the "going to hurt someone" game face and really brought it. Kind of reminded me of the 2008 season where Nebraska and Texas were fairly evenly matched (traded 3-1 wins for the home team) and it took exceptional play by one or more individuals to put their teams over the top that season.
Cheers Longhorns, another one in the books and we'll see y'all again soon I'm sure.

Excited for the match. Nebraska hasn't faced Texas in Austin since early September 2015. Who could forget Ebony Nwanebu's performance as she introduced herself to Longhorn fans in her first match at Texas after transferring from USC? Too bad she wouldn't get to play again that season due to injury. Despite the 3-2 loss, Nebraska learned a lot, made lineup changes as a result of that loss, and later beat Texas in Omaha for the national championship; talk about going full circle in a season. Really not sure what to expect tonight as there is so much on the line for both programs. IMO, whichever team serves the toughest and receives serve the best will most likely win. Sounds simple, right? I think I know enough about volleyball to know what impacts the outcome of match. As for Gladys Kravitz, it's almost time for you to find another college volleyball player to obsessively stalk and pretend you have an in-person friendship with. You got a bonus year due to COVID, but after less than one more week, you will need a new target. Zero energy should be directed towards Chowda

So passing/backrow defense is still a thorn for Texas. Is that not a product of playing in the Big 12? Will they put thought into changing it once they join the SEC?

I’ve brought it up before but there’s definitely some hints at mental illness that is legit concerning. It’s the type of stuff that when something happens in real life people then go search the stalkers internet history and ask how is it no one did anything.

Why does Hames have to be so good at defense omg Because she is one of the FOUR Liberos in the back court. She is a very good defensive player. Remember how often the opinion seems to be get rid of her as a setter? If you get rid of the Setter, you loose the Defensive player. She also can be very good at the Service line and then at times she can be terrible back there. You have to take one with the other and then remember that the Husker Setter seems to be such a controversy year after year. It is a Coaches decision. It is also one of Cooks decision that really made me unhappy with him!! He sat All American Sydney Anderson on the bench and put his daughter in! It is the Coaches decision to make. GBR

GBR While I share your general unhappiness regarding that situation, your recollection is a bit off. He played a 6-2 that season with Sydney and Lauren sharing the setting duties.

Oh no, I was talking about passing numbers. I thought the team had a pretty great offensive match against that Texas block. I'm trying to see who was dragging down their passing stats. Eye test tells me it was definitely Akana since she got aced a few times at the start and shanked a few balls. But she also got worked on a LOT by all of the good Texas servers. Definitely one of her more inconsistent games. Knuckles as well but not to the same degree. As far as I remember, Madi and Roddy pretty much passed mostly dimes. Could be off tho. Which is certainly the reason Texas lost.

Lexi was bright as the “sun” on match point. Texas eating that humble pie (again). It’s not TX I dislike, it’s that cocky, forever resting bitch face, no coaching skills, Jerrit Elliot. How can you not win with all these athletes!! How!!?! They win and have won an absolutely crazy amount with him as coach. Won conference championship trophies, sure- Penn State, Stanford and Nebraska use those trophies for door stops into their NC trophy rooms.
