Why does Hames have to be so good at defense omg Because she is one of the FOUR Liberos in the back court. She is a very good defensive player. Remember how often the opinion seems to be get rid of her as a setter? If you get rid of the Setter, you loose the Defensive player. She also can be very good at the Service line and then at times she can be terrible back there. You have to take one with the other and then remember that the Husker Setter seems to be such a controversy year after year. It is a Coaches decision. It is also one of Cooks decision that really made me unhappy with him!! He sat All American Sydney Anderson on the bench and put his daughter in! It is the Coaches decision to make. GBR I totally agree concerning Anderson. That was a really bad decision.

GBR While I share your general unhappiness regarding that situation, your recollection is a bit off. He played a 6-2 that season with Sydney and Lauren sharing the setting duties. And it was a terrible decision.

at least Logan is still iconic (and yes I'm well aware that passing number is not good, but comparatively...)

finally got around to watching the match. obviously not the result I was hoping for, but Nebraska played really well. credit to them, they were one of the few teams to both get Texas off the net and capitalize on it. I'll admit I had my doubts earlier in the season but the freshmen are ballers. Texas...go find a bro in the transfer portal. our OHs are great but they can't do it all.

That's EXACTLY what that means. Using the setter as an example of Texas’s over hyped recruiting? The 5’7 setter no one had the time of day for except Elliot, that out set Blossom, Hames, Hilley last year. Good chance Cabello will have a good career somewhere. Setting is not the reason for Texas’s lack of NC. 1/3 of the roster DS/Libero sure. She wasn’t recruited to set. We all know that. It’s good that she’s good. But that doesn’t mean he saw something in her as a setter that no one else did.
