This reads like a documentary! Really insightful. I’ve always heard great things about Hugh. He should do a masterclass. Coaches take notes. Especially the ones on here pretending to be or impersonating fans of their own programs. Ha ha ha!

The thing that I'm really excited abut with this group is that there is the potential for this group to be really tight. I know in the past Hugh has said that wasn't a necessity for his teams but I think this group will pull together and stay strong because of it.

Ooooh that looks like a fun Diet Coke Classic! Top 3 WCC team and a Rubright reunion. It’s been a few years since the Gophers have invited non-local teams.
Three matches in the state of Texas in under a week. Wenaas’ family is happy about that I bet! Will the Gophers just camp out in Texas for the week? Would save on airfare but I guess lodging could get pricey.

I know in the past Hugh has said that wasn't a necessity for his teams but I think this group will pull together and stay strong because of it. To be clear, I'm sure McCutcheon wants them to be "really tight" as a team. He has said it's not realistic to expect everyone to be friends.

Final RPI 2021
Baylor 7 TCU 130 Texas 4 Florida 18 Oregon 27 Stanford 30 Pepperdine 39 Washington State 36
Rosters have had turnover of course, and RPI has its flaws, but this is an impressive schedule. Win or lose—lessons will be learned. I can’t wait. Go Gophers!

...and if the Gophers respond the way I hope they will, it's a potential hosting-regionals schedule.

I think it's reasonable to expect TCU to be better than 130 this year
new head coach and they return basically all of their lineup from last year with some good players, so lots of experience

MNs schedule is still significantly tougher imo, and they seem to be the only team brave enough to consistently schedule texas preseason

But Wisconsin doesn't need to "take notes". Of the five 'other' teams UW is playing, three were in the NCAAs and a fourth is usually there, just not in fall 2021. Wisconsin and Texas played a home-and-home in 2016 and 2018 (Wisconsin won both).
