It is my understanding that Hugh prefers The Pavillion than moving volleyball to Williams Arena. This statement is from a comment made to me one time on campus from one of the Assistant Volleyball Coaches. Are Gopher fans thinking, if we had a larger facility for Volleyball with more seating availability, possibly season ticket prices would go down? I can confirm that from when my DD did a recruiting tour at the U. They prefer the cozy confines of the Pav to something bigger like the Devaney Center.

Prices never come down, once the authorities figure out how much the traffic will bear.

Increase their season ticket price? Don't we have enough inflation already? If my experience is typical, a chairback season's ticket cost $270, with all the charges tacked on. I wonder whether any team, other than Nebraska, and including Wisconsin, charges anything close to that. For 2021, season ticket prices for Wisconsin VB was $100 for 'prime reserved' (center court, maybe the first 20 rows), $85 for 'reserved'(other sideline sections, farther up, and center court above prime reserved), and $60 for 'general' (the rest, and all of the upper deck). 'Youth' and 'Senior' general admission for $30, and a four-ticket 'family' general admission for $125. To be more specific, the nominal price for the chairback is $150. Then, they tack on a $100 seating scholarship fee. Could one refuse to pay it? My impression is "no" but I haven't tested those waters. Then they charge a $20 "application" fee. That's not for a first time application either. It seems more like a processing charge. So, $270 is what it says on the credit card bill.

Has there been any discussion on the Gophers No conference schedule yet?
It looks tough, but I like how they were able to do it all without a ton of travel. 3 Texas schools in like 5 days.

We're in the bench seats, and they don't tack on any automatic "scholarship fee" for us peons over there, so it's $150 per seat, plus the $20 processing fee.š

If one declines to pay the scholarship fund ādonationā one does not get the season ticket. (Similarly, for the premium seats, one cannot decline the (larger) scholarship fund contribution, nor can one decline the meal catering fee. I *believe* you can decline the parking pass fee for premium seats, but since we need parking, there isnāt a whole lot of sense in my doing that.)

Just booked sun airlines roundtrip msp to dfw for 194 dollars leaving Friday morning returning Sunday. It's the only straight through flight. Now a car and hotel room. I can taste that Texas barbeque. Served with a side of Baylor and TCU. Any one know where the gophers stay? Dang. Youāre making me want to go! Wondering what the TCU facility is like and what tickets will be availableā¦.

With June 15th fast approaching, does anyone have any idea of where Stella Swenson is thinking of going? Any other recruits MN is targeting? I'm curious about this too. She's currently listed as the 28th recruit for 2024 on Prepvolleyball, and like the fifth or sixth setter. I realize these rankings aren't perfect and two years is a lot of time for development, but Hugh might have his eyes on other prospects. She seems to have all the tools to be great. She's not flashy, but she seems accurate and smart, which are important attributes. I tend to take players' high school abilities with a grain of salt once they've committed to MN. Hugh and his team have proven themselves more than capable of exceptional player development, and if he sees something in their abilities, I trust his judgement. At this point with Stella, my gut tells me she's probably interested in MN. Whether she's offered a scholarship we'll likely find out soon.

Schollmaier Arena holds about 8500 at TCU. I looked up one game where their attendance was around 2200 for a volleyball game. I think seats will not be a problem.

Just give her one more year, I am sure she will be up there. I am so eager to find out who the 2024 setter will be for the Gophers. I am confident that Hugh will get one of the best ones out there whether that is Stella or someone else.

Perhaps some Gopher fans are purposely overlooking 2022 incoming Freshman setter, Chloe Ng, because they know something the rest of us don't.

I wish I lived in proximity to a school like Minnesota, Nebraska, Purdue, Penn State, Wisconsin, etc., so I could pay that reasonable amount to watch high level B1G volleyball 15 times a year in amazing sport venues.
