Any time our fan base starts talking about how scholarships are apportioned it looks like we throw chicken bones in the air and see where they land.

Sorry if I missed it in the threads (was out of town and haven’t caught up) but who all is going to Omaha? I’m finally going to a FF and I am sooooooo excited! i'm going to omaha...were you a season ticket holder? if so did you an email about texas pre-game party? Not a season ticket holder (live too far away - but maybe one day). Just got tickets somewhere and am roadtripping up there!

I know we have other things to think about, but a poster on the portal thread just said Carissa Barnes is going to Texas. Not exactly an official announcement, but I like reading posts that subscribe to my world view more than those that challenge it. Kinda like my news. Give me my echo chamber!

I know this season isn’t over but rumor has it Podraza is in the portal. Do y’all think there’s any chance JE and staff go after her or is our lack of scholarship (if the math is correct) gonna stop them?

What were Barnes’s passing numbers this year? I think her defensive prowess is pretty well known.
@ someone with VM

That well is running very very very dry. Especially for programs who were recruiting early/snagging those recruits as soon as they could. It’s hard to say what these 5th years will do

I think her defensive prowess is pretty well known. @ someone with VM 2.44 lol, and if you filter it to tournament teams, it goes to 2.52. that includes a 2.73 grade against nebraska in the first game of the season, on 13 passes. she struggled a bit against Indiana, who is arguably the most aggressive serving team in the nation, but it was still above a 2 (2.07, which is well above the 1.89 they cause opponents to pass). for reference, lexi rodriguez, who some regard as the best libero in the NCAA, passed a 1.96 against Indiana. so Barnes passed even better than her.

If you watch the Nebraska match on YouTube you have to watch a lot of bad volleyball to find those 13 passes. It was pretty obvious they avoided her. Lol
