Jerritt & Andrea, youâve created such an amazing program centered around people simply caring about each other. you both have such huge hearts that they impact every single person around you. I aspire, one day, to have a marriage like yours.
Erik, your consistent passion and unrelenting kindness always kept me feeling calm and excited to play.
David, thank you for always expecting more of me while giving me the grace and patience to fail.
Jess, you gave us unrelenting positivity, support, and unquestioning grace.
my girls, I really donât have words for how special it was to feel so accepted and loved by you guys. you guys are truly my family.
nathan, donnie, jesse, deann, sami, travis - texas is the program it is bc of the care each of you takes over what you do. you kept all of our 18 healthy, happy and focused for an entire season which is an absolutely crazy stat line.
Gregory! I canât tell you how proud I was to wear the black jersey every week for you guys. you are the BEST fans.
since I joined my first volleyball team, my goal was always to 'be a good player'. work hard & develop my volleyball skills. and I think most of my past teammates and coaches would probably tell you I was a pretty good player. but during our 22 hour drive from LA to Austin almost exactly a year ago, Robbie, who's usually trying to get me to put more of my heart into things, said to me "wouldn't it be cool if, by the time you left, the people at Texas felt you were a good person, not just a good player?"
one of the great things about transferring is that you get to reinvent yourself without the burden of anyone knowing who you used to be. so this year I put more of my heart into this team than I've ever put into anything... and you guys returned it 10 fold! whether youâre one of the girls I played with every day or someone I met just once after a match, you showed me so much love that I've become a more loving person as a result! above all our other accolades this year, that is (by far) my most treasured gift.
